A Slice of Victory for CANstruction

It might commemorate the mathematical constant, but MJ celebrated Pi Day by fundraising for CANstruction through an inaugural pie-baking competition. It was a sweet celebration as staff indulged in some of the most delicious and creative pies while helping to raise money with raffles and a 50/50 drawing.

13 pies were submitted and judged across three categories: appearance, taste, and creativity. The variety of dishes presented for judging was nothing short of impressive. Coconut Cream Pie, Peanut Butter Pie, Margarita Pie, Oatmeal Pie, Cinnamon Brown Sugar Cream Pie, and many others were consumed and critiqued. The contest had some fierce competition, BUT there could only be one winner … MJ’s Controller/HR Director, Debbie Waldruff, stole the show with her infamous Peanut Butter Pie!

MJ’s sweet tooth helped to smash their goal and raise more than $1,000 for their CANstruction efforts. Easy as pie.
