The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York Has a Big Heart
The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) is proud to support Capital Region CANstruction as a Hunger Heroes team and as a sponsor.
Since 2018, ACEC New York has partnered with Capital Region CANstruction to display a can sculpture at our annual Winter Conference, held at the Albany Capital Center. This event brings over 400 engineers together from across New York, and the can sculpture is always a fun conversation starter and backdrop for photos! Throughout the event, we bring awareness to food insecurity in our community and at the conclusion, we donate the sculpture’s cans and any remaining tote bags to The Food Pantries for the Capital District.
We’d like to thank the Capital Region CANstruction team for their continued partnership and dedication to fighting food insecurity, while emphasizing the talents of the design industry here in New York!
ACEC New York is a proactive coalition representing nearly 300 member firms who engage in every discipline of engineering related to the built environment including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and geotechnical. We are a diverse group of consulting engineering firms from across New York State, ranging from sole proprietors to multinational corporations that collectively employ about 33,000 New Yorkers and nearly ten times that number worldwide. Our shared goals are to further the business interests of our membership, enhance the quality and safety of the environment we live and work in, and help ensure the vitality of our communities.
