From Supporting Actors to a Starring Role: New Leaf Sprouts into Action

New Leaf Energy has spent the previous two Capital Region CANstruction Build Days gaining valuable hands-on experience and growing muscles by unpacking, organizing, and tallying pallets of cans. Our behind-the-scenes efforts have helped ensure that the competing teams have everything they need for a successful build.

This year, we're ready to stretch our creative skills with an exciting sculpture of our own. At over 4,000 cans, our debut design has gone big to mirror the impact CANstruction makes in fighting hunger in the Capital Region. 

The team is hard at work cutting display boards, debating the finishing design touches, and collecting the various other materials and specialized foods for use in the structure. Fortunately, some of our team members bring prior CANstruction experience to the table, having contributed to sculptures with previous engineering firms.
